My Research Journey

What if your child's brain
wasn't broken — just
under-fueled?

I'm not a doctor. I started asking questions the system wasn't asking. What I found changed everything for my family — and it might change everything for yours.

Sound Familiar?

These are the questions I was asking. If any of them are yours — keep reading.

01
"Why is my iron always low, even when I take supplements?"
The iron goes in. It just doesn't stay. Nobody has a good answer for why.
02
"Why does my child understand so little of what I say?"
They're bright. They're present. But the words aren't landing the way they should.
03
"Why am I exhausted even when I sleep?"
Not tired from activity. Tired from the inside. No amount of rest fixes it.
04
"Why is my anxiety worse even though nothing has changed?"
No new stressor. No new event. Just a nervous system that won't settle down.
05
"Why does brain fog come and go with no clear pattern?"
Sharp some days. Completely underwater others. The inconsistency is its own kind of unsettling.
06
"Why are the medications working less over time?"
The Adderall. The Wellbutrin. The antidepressants. They helped once. Now they don't.
Every one of those questions has the same biological root.
I didn't know that until I started asking differently.

My son was non-verbal. My family was medicated. I was exhausted, anxious, and dizzy every time I stood up. My iron wouldn't hold. My brain felt like it was wrapped in gauze.

The doctors were kind. They ran tests. Everything looked "normal." Or close enough to normal that no one followed the thread further.

So I did. I started with one question about folate. Then another. Then another. The answers kept pointing to the same place — a gene called MTHFR, a process called methylation, and a form of B9 that most of us never get because the version in our food supply literally blocks it.

I am not telling you this is a cure. I am telling you it is a biological process that is genuinely not working in millions of people — and almost no one is talking about it plainly.

This site is that conversation.

30 Days In — A Former Teacher's Words

What I really see is that he's the same wonderful kid I've always known. The difference I saw was truly that he didn't seem trapped behind his eyes — all of him was showing up. The ease and joy that I could see in his whole little body was just delightful to witness.

"Turn it down."
"Who — me or my brother?"

A child who was largely nonverbal 8 months ago. An ordinary Tuesday.

One family. A specific start date. Documented outcomes across two children with ASD and ADHD, and two adults. This is what the biology looks like when it works.

What Folate Actually Does In Your Body
Not just a pregnancy vitamin. Folate touches every major system — brain, blood, heart, liver, hormones, DNA repair. Here's the full map.
02
The MTHFR Mutation — What It Is and What It Isn't
It's not a disease. It's a reduced-efficiency enzyme. But that reduction has consequences most doctors aren't trained to connect to your symptoms.
03
Folic Acid vs. Methylfolate — Why The Difference Matters
The synthetic form in most vitamins and fortified foods can actually block the real thing. If you have MTHFR, this is the most important thing you'll read.
04
MTHFR, ASD, and Leucovorin — The Emerging Research
Clinical studies show 65–75% of children with ASD and folate receptor issues improve with the right form of folate. Here's what the research actually says.
05
Why Symptoms Appear Later — The Role of Hormones and Age
The mutation is present from birth. The symptoms often emerge in your 30s and 40s. Here's why childbirth, perimenopause, and stress unmask what was always there.

What We Take — The Supplement Stack Explained
Not a sales pitch. A plain explanation of what, why, and how — so you understand the mechanism before you consider the solution.

This Research Is For You If...

Your Child Has ASD or ADHD
And you feel like you've tried everything and still aren't getting the answers that match what you're seeing.
You Have Unexplained Symptoms
Brain fog, chronic fatigue, anxiety, iron that won't hold, dizziness — and labs that keep coming back "normal."
You Are or Plan to Be Pregnant
The form of folate you take before and during pregnancy matters more than most prenatal guidance acknowledges.
Medications Aren't Working Like They Used To
Stimulants, antidepressants, antianxiety meds all interact with the same methylation pathways. There's a reason response changes over time.

Start with the first question.
See where it leads.

No credentials required. No agenda. Just the same research I did, laid out in the same order I asked it — because that's how understanding actually builds.
